Line of Service Internal Firm Services Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism IFS - Human Capital (HC) Management Level Senior Manager Job Description & Summary Flexible work options - work smarter in a way that suits your lifestyle Lead and develop a high-performing risk and compliance team Support the embedding of risk culture within People and Culture and Clients and Markets functions About the Role This unique cross-functional role spans two enabling functions—People & Culture (P&C) and Clients & Markets (C&M)—with a primary focus (70%) on risk and compliance management for the P&C function, and a secondary focus (30%) supporting risk governance and compliance initiatives across the C&M and Corporate Affairs teams. The role is pivotal in safeguarding the firm’s reputation, ensuring policy integrity, and promoting a culture of accountability and compliance. You’ll help solve complex problems by using your skills in: Proven experience in HR risk, policy and compliance, ideally within a professional services or regulated environment Strong understanding of risk management frameworks as well as audit frameworks and Experience managing teams and delivering coaching and development Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and analytical skills Experience in Markets/Client service, sustainability, or communications Enterprise agreement interpretation and internal audit processes In this role, your impact will be seen by: Lead Line 1 risk management activities for P&C, including maintaining risk appetite statements, controls and risk registers Implement and oversee risk frameworks for C&M, Corporate Affairs, and Sustainability in collaboration with Line 2 Risk Conduct control design, testing, and stress assessments to ensure resilience and compliance Report risk exposures, control effectiveness, and mitigation progress to senior leadership and governance forums Prepare regular risk reporting for risk committees and senior leadership Lead the review, drafting, and implementation of P&C policies Ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies across the firm Oversee compliance checks, audit readiness, and assurance testing, including offshore team coordination Act as subject matter expert on policy and compliance documentation and escalation processes Manage end-to-end background check processes, including vendor relationships and service level agreements Build strong relationships with other P&C teams, Risk, and Offshore Delivery teams About PwC At PwC, we are a human-led, tech-powered community of solvers.
